SEREMBAN: Two groups of college students armed with baseballs bats, iron rods and sticks almost clashed with each other before police stepped in and calmed the situation on Wednesday night.

It is learnt that a group of 20 to 30 local students from the college in Mantin, unhappy over foreigners dating local girls, had assaulted three African students over the issue.

One of the Africans suffered a broken arm while two others received outpatient treatment.

On learning of the assault, students from several African countries armed with bats and rods, gathered in numbers outside their hostel at a housing estate near the college to confront local students.

Following the commotion, several local students and residents of the housing estate, armed with sticks, also began gathering near the hostel.

The groups refused to disperse even after repeated calls by the police, who were called to the scene by college authorities, and attempts by the college management to pacify them.

Some members of the groups began turning aggressive when told to return to their rooms. The guardhouse of the hostel and several cars in the vicinity were damaged in the commotion.

However, a police team led by district deputy chief Supt Azmi Abu Kassim finally managed to calm the situation after a meeting with representatives of the foreign students and the hostel management at 2.30am yesterday.

Negri Sembilan police chief Senior Asst Comm I Datuk Osman Salleh said police had not arrested anyone, as investigations were still going on.

“We are look for the culprits who started the mess between the African and local students,” he said, adding that the case has been classified as rioting under section 148 of the Penal Code.

He said patrols in the area and college would be stepped up.

About 15% of the college’s 3,500 students are foreigners.

SEREMBAN 29 Mei – Hampir 100 pelajar sebuah kolej swasta dan penduduk sekitar kolej berkenaan di Mantin bergaduh dalam kejadian yang berpunca daripada rasa tidak puas hati berikutan hubungan pelajar Afrika dengan wanita Melayu di situ.

Ketua Polis Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Osman Salleh berkata, kejadian yang berlaku pada pukul 9.30 malam tadi itu berjaya dileraikan kira-kira 2.30 pagi ini.

Menurutnya, insiden itu dianggap sebagai rusuhan dan mengganggu ketenteraman awam.

”Kejadian ini disiasat di bawah Seksyen 148 Kanun Keseksaan melibatkan rusuhan,” katanya kepada pemberita di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Seremban di sini hari ini.

Menurut Osman, siasatan awal polis mendapati kejadian itu berpunca daripada rasa tidak puas hati beberapa pelajar Melayu dan penduduk sekitar kolej di situ berikutan hubungan antara seorang pelajar Afrika dengan wanita Melayu.

”Berikutan itu, lelaki Afrika itu telah diserang sekumpulan 20 hingga 30 lelaki Melayu dan dua lagi rakan negara Afrika turut mengalami kecederaan.

”Seorang daripadanya dilaporkan parah selepas patah bahagian tangan, manakala dua lagi pelajar berkenaan dibenarkan pulang selepas dirawat sebagai pesakit luar di Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar,” kata beliau.

Kata Osman, polis masih menyiasat kejadian rusuhan itu dan pihak pengurusan kolej sudah dimaklumkan mengenai kejadian tersebut malam tadi.

”Buat masa ini, polis tidak membuat sebarang tangkapan dan kita sedang menyiasat. Semasa kejadian ini berlaku, beberapa kereta mengalami kerosakan dan sebuah pondok pengawal di hadapan kediaman pelajar dari Afrika itu turut dirobohkan,” kata beliau.

Osman memberitahu, dalam kejadian itu kedua-dua pihak bersenjatakan kayu.

Beliau berkata, walaupun keadaan sudah tenteram tetapi pasukan polis akan mengawal dan memantau perkembangan termasuk untuk mengesan dalang yang mencetuskan rusuhan tersebut.

Dalam kejadian malam tadi, hampir 50 pelajar Afrika berkumpul di hadapan flat kediaman mereka di sebuah taman perumahan di Mantin sambil memegang beberapa batang kayu besbol dan besi.

Mereka menjerit menyatakan rasa tidak puas hati apabila rakan-rakan mereka dibelasah sekumpulan lelaki Melayu.

Keadaan bertambah tegang kira-kira pukul 12.30 tengah malam apabila mereka enggan berganjak walaupun pihak polis dan pengurusan kolej cuba menenangkan mereka, sebaliknya ada yang cuba bertindak agresif.

Suasana di luar kawasan kediaman yang berpagar itu pula menyaksikan, sekumpulan lelaki dan penduduk berhampiran berdiri di bahagian kanan jalan dan turut membawa kayu besbol yang diletakkan di semak dan dalam kereta mereka.

Sepasukan polis yang diketuai Timbalan Ketua Polis Daerah Seremban, Supritendan Azmi Abu Kassim telah mengadakan rundingan bersama wakil pelajar Afrika dan pihak pengurusan kolej berjaya meleraikan keadaan kira-kira pukul 2.30 pagi ini.

非洲學生與警對峙5小時

（森美蘭‧芙蓉、文丁）疑為女人爭風吃醋，文丁一間國際學院的非洲黑人學生和本地學生發生大格鬥，幾乎演變成暴動，最後勞動警方鎮暴部隊出動包圍現場，手持木棍的非洲學生與警員對峙近5個小時之後，最終放下武器！

這起學生衝突事件，是於州週三（28日）晚上8時許發生在文丁大學城 （LAGENDA學院宿舍）。群毆共造成3名非洲學生蒙受輕重傷，其中一人手臂折斷。

涉及群毆的雙方超過100人，包括非洲學生、馬來學生和本地居民。據悉，事件的導火線是非洲學生搭上學院的一位馬來女學生而引起。

目擊者說，先是兩名非洲學生被一批本地馬來學生毆打後，立刻回去宿舍召集同學準備尋仇。

與此同時，一群大約50人的馬來學生和居民則在非洲學生的宿舍叫囂，雙方一言不合，結果就引發群毆，互持鐵棍和塑膠水管毆鬥。

警方接獲投報後，隨即派出鎮暴部隊趕到，並包圍學院宿舍，惟數十名非洲學生仍然手持木棍不願散開，並與鎮暴部隊對峙數個小時，最終才被說服散開。警方事發沒有逮捕任何人。

Kononnya, telah diterima masuk ke dalam Kolej ini, facility paling best, pinjaman dan biasiswa boleh diuruskan, dan sebagainya. Bila anda mula layan dia, lagilah dia ashik telepon berkali-kali. Siap datang rumah untuk memujuk anda. Adakala juga cadangkan masuk Kolej Lagenda Jati, Institute Teknologi Pertama ataupun Kolej Linton.

Seperti biasa, bila ada orang entah dari mana mengambil berat tentang masa depan anda, sehingga boleh rasa lebih concern daripada anda sendiri, ini sudah tentu ada udang di sebalik batu.

Apasal educatio facilitator ni nak sangat anda masuk kolej-kolej ni?

Ini lah cara education facilitator mencari makan.

Berikut adalah penjelasan yang diberikan semasa mencari education facilitator :
“Pekerjaan ini mengunakan konsep MLM. Dalam MLM terdapat produk yang anda perlu jual. Samalah juga dengan pekerjaan ini. Anda hanya lah perlu mempromosikan Kolej kepada student yang berkelayakan dengan syarat kemasukan kolej. Gaji sebanyak Rm 1000 tetapi gaji ini hanya akan dapat dengan syarat dalam bulan tersebut anda mendapat 1 student.

Setiap student yang anda dapat anda akan mendapat RM1000 dan RM500 lagi anda akan dapat setelah proses pinjaman student tersebut selesai.

Cara kiraan gaji di sini. (jika 1 student)
1 student =RM1000 (Rm500 bila siap loan)
Gaji (syarat 1 student) = RM1000
Claim = RM 500
Jumlah Gaji = RM2500 +(RM500)

Cara kiraan gaji di sini. (jika 3 student)
3 student = RM3000 (Rm1500 bila siap loan)
Gaji (syarat 1 student) = RM1000
Claim = RM 500
Jumlah Gaji = RM4500 + (RM1500)”

Jadi, tidak susah nak fahamlah.

Bayangkan jika education facilitator to belum dapat satu student pun. Jika pujuk anda seorang saja masuk, boleh dapat RM2500. Anda tak nak masuk, satu sen pun tak ada.
Sekadar jumpa kat rumah apa hal sangat. Rasa suruh jumpa kat puncak Gunung Ledang pun tentu sampai.

“I have a case here. We students of legenda college mantin batch of 2000/2001, which graduated on 2004 had applied PTPTN study loan through this college and got approved. We loan more than the study fees needed. So , we have extra money after deducting all the fees. The money go to the college in batch b4 to us students. Within this 4 years of studies, college often delay the paying time. Obviously that the college used our money to make their bussiness ‘turn over’. N yet v could do nothing as we r just students….we din know wat to do.. when come to the graduate time, the college promised to refund the balance of few K to us within half year. We graduated on may 2004, now is mid of 2005, yet we din ……… “

” …. yet we din receive any cents from them. we made complaints to PTPTn several times. n to the college of coz. PTPTN sent warning letters to the college and that took no effects… finally, early of this month, PTPTN called for a meeting, to settle this matter face to face with students, college’s ppl and PTPTN. We went through the meeting, and some of the students are from other states, purposely travel down to attend the meeting. N the conclusion was the college should refund to students the loan balance within 2 weeks times, which the exact date should be 26 of april 2005 or else the PTPTn will stop the new application of college’s new students. On the 26 of april, one of my fren called ptptn(as the college ppl agreed to send the cheque to ptptn, n we students will take the cheque from there) , the answer return was the college person inform PTPTN that they have no money to pay….can u believe it?so daring they are.. PTPTn can do nothing but stop the new application. N we stuck here again. I wondering wat to do..is this counted as a corruption? n where should i go to?”

I know (at least)two complaint on Dataran mantin on that portal already been deleted.
Don’t know why this one still leaved there. Probably the cencership only do screening for Dataran Mantin, not Kolej Lagenda. (??)
